Springfield Armory

Mostrando el único resultado

Springfield Armory rifles cover a lot of ground. From a semi-auto take on the legendary M14 battle rifle to a Croatian-derived bullpup, the range is broader than most American manufacturers manage. What ties it together is a consistent focus on mil-spec materials, factory-ready configurations, and a product philosophy that treats reliability as baseline rather than a selling point.

The company is based in Geneseo, Illinois, and has been manufacturing firearms there since 1974. That founding was practical: the Reese family acquired the machinery and inventory of a Texas company that had produced semi-automatic M1A rifles for civilians based on the U.S. military’s select-fire M14. From that starting point, the lineup has grown considerably. Springfield Armory guns now span several distinct rifle categories, and the brand has a particularly strong following among shooters who want proven military heritage in a civilian-legal package.

Brand Story

In 1974, the Reese family mortgaged their farm to purchase the materials and rights to the original M1A-producing business, and two semi-trucks delivered the machinery and resources to the Reese farm. It was a straightforward business decision with real consequences: they were betting the farm – literally – on civilian demand for the M1A platform. That bet paid off. The M1A line grew in popularity and helped put the company name on the map, and it also drew in professional competition shooters like Rob Leatham, who first connected with the company after winning an M1A Super Match at the 1983 IPSC U.S. Nationals.

In 2022, the company consolidated its previously dispersed operations into a new 200,000-square-foot building, following a 2021 expansion project that included groundbreaking for the Geneseo facility to enhance manufacturing capacity and efficiency. The upgrades enabled broader production of forged components, including 7075-T6 aluminum receivers for rifle models like the SAINT Victor, emphasising precision machining and quality assurance in a vertically integrated setup. That expansion reflects where the company is now: a full-scale manufacturer and importer with a much wider product base than the single-platform operation it started as.

Product Lineup

M1A Rifles

The Springfield Armory M1A is the rifle the company was built on, and it still anchors the lineup. It is a semi-automatic chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, derived directly from the U.S. military’s M14. The M1A line includes offerings such as Standard, Loaded, SOCOM, National Match, and Tanker models, covering everything from full-length target configurations to compact variants designed for closer-range use. This is the platform to reach for if you want a hard-hitting semi-auto with genuine military-pattern controls and the kind of track record that spans decades of competition and service use.

SAINT Rifles

The SAINT is a series of AR-15 style semi-automatic firearms manufactured by Springfield Armory. Introduced in November 2016, the series includes rifles, short-barreled rifles, and pistols. The series is primarily chambered for 5.56 NATO, while some models are also available in .308 Winchester or .300 Blackout. The base SAINT sits at the entry point of the range: a solid, well-specced AR-15 that ships ready to use and carries mil-spec internals without the unnecessary cost of features most shooters will never need.

SAINT Victor Rifles

The Springfield SAINT Victor steps up from the standard SAINT with a more comprehensive factory build. The features shared across Victor models include forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers using Springfield’s Accu-Tite tension system, an M16-pattern bolt carrier made from 9310 steel and HP/MPI tested, and a nickel-boron coated fire control unit that uses a flat trigger. The aluminum handguard features a full-length top Picatinny rail with M-LOK coverage for lights, foregrips, and aiming devices, and it is free-floated and attached to the upper with a robust patented mounting system with integrated QD cups. For most buyers, this is the sweet spot in the range – you get meaningfully better components over the base model without paying for features you won’t use.

Hellion Bullpup Rifles

The Hellion is the most distinctive rifle in the lineup. Based on the internationally proven VHS-2 bullpup, which has been employed by the Croatian armed forces in demanding environments ranging from Iraq to Africa and beyond, the Hellion offers a semi-automatic 5.56mm version of this highly capable firearm. The bullpup layout solves a specific problem: the Hellion features an overall length of just 28.25 inches while still possessing a 16-inch barrel. It sports ambidextrous controls that work in concert with a reversible case ejection system, allowing it to be easily fired from either shoulder. A two-position adjustable gas block covers both standard and suppressed modes to adapt to conditions and ammunition availability. Barrel options run to 18 and 20 inches as well, for shooters who want more velocity without losing the handling advantages of the bullpup format.

Why We Stock Springfield Armory

We carry Springfield Armory rifles at No Boring Guns because customer demand for this brand in Europe is consistent and easy to explain: it covers multiple use cases under a single, well-supported manufacturer. Collectors want the M1A. Practical shooters want the SAINT or SAINT Victor. Buyers looking for something genuinely different gravitate toward the Hellion. That variety means we can serve a wider range of customers from a single brand relationship, which keeps stock levels and lead times more predictable.
