Oberland Arms BL M5 .223 Rem

The OA-15 BL M5 is Oberland Arms’ mid-length Black Label carbine — the workhorse 16.75″-barrel variant approved for sporting use in Germany. It uses the same forged receiver platform and Lothar Walther LW19 barrel technology as the rest of the BL series, paired with a 13″ slim BL M-LOK free-float handguard that covers the gas block for near-rifle sight radius while staying slim enough for practical shooting. Each rifle is essentially hand-built in Huglfing, Bavaria and delivered in a lockable transport case with two grip sizes, a 10-round OA Active Mag, BUIS, and the OA Muzzle Flash Device. The M5 is the default choice for IPSC / dynamic-sport shooters who want a legally compliant yet high-performance AR-15.

Sport-Legal German Configuration

The BL M5’s 16.75″ barrel meets German BKA sport-rifle approvals, making it directly suitable for IPSC, 3-Gun, and similar dynamic shooting disciplines without legal compromise.

Lothar Walther LW19 Match Barrel

The 16.75″ Lothar Walther LW19 match barrel is where the platform really shines. Match-grade bore uniformity, proper chamber reaming, and 1:7″ twist make the rifle accurate with the full spectrum of .223 / 5.56 ammunition.

BL M-LOK 13″ Slim Handguard

The 13″ BL M-LOK slim handguard covers the gas block and extends the sight radius significantly. Its slim profile is more comfortable than bulkier competitor rails, and the M-LOK slots accept every standard accessory.

Hand-Built and Custom-Specified

Oberland builds each rifle ~95% to customer specification. The M5 ships in a lockable transport case with two grip sizes and ready for range or match use.
