These use a hybrid ogive design that’s less sensitive to seating depth than pure VLD profiles, which makes load development more forgiving. The Berger 175 elite hunter works well in 7mm cartridges with appropriate twist rates, delivering high BC numbers for wind-bucking capability and flat trajectories. Expansion is designed to occur after 2-3 inches of penetration, creating significant wound channels in medium to large game.

Classic Hunter Series
