KMR Magazine Catch 28 – L-02 Umbra Edition

The KMR Magazine Catch 28 is a premium, competition-ready component specifically designed for the KMR L-02 Umbra and the L-series platform. Engineered for speed and ergonomics, this magazine release is a critical upgrade for shooters who need to shave seconds off their reload times during high-pressure match conditions.

Designed for Speed and Precision

In the world of IPSC and USPSA, the speed of your magazine change can be the difference between a podium finish and a mid-pack result. The “28” designation represents the optimized surface area and extension height, providing the perfect balance between accessibility and security. It allows the shooter to drop the magazine without significantly shifting their firing grip, maintaining better control over the firearm throughout the reload cycle.

Technical Specifications:

CNC-Machined Durability: Crafted from high-strength steel and aluminum components to ensure crisp engagement and a lifetime of hard use.
Extended Ergonomics: The enlarged paddle is strategically positioned for easy reach, even for shooters with smaller hands or those wearing gloves.
Umbra Series Aesthetics: Features the signature dark, high-performance finish to perfectly match the KMR L-02 Umbra’s premium tactical appearance.
Adjustable Orientation: Designed for easy installation with a focus on smooth, snag-free movement within the frame.

Maximum Reliability Under Pressure

The internal geometry of the KMR Magazine Catch 28 is precision-ground to provide a positive “click” and immediate release. Unlike standard magazine catches that may feel mushy or require excessive force, this unit offers a tactile, mechanical response that gives the shooter total confidence that the magazine has been successfully ejected.

Key Benefits:

Faster Reloads: The extended and widened surface area makes finding the release instinctive and effortless.
Secure Magazine Seating: Engineered to hold the magazine firmly in place against the stresses of rapid fire and movement.
Enhanced Control: Reduces the need to “break” your master grip to reach the button, allowing for faster target re-acquisition after a reload.
Competition Legal: Designed to meet the requirements of most production and standard division equipment rules while offering a significant ergonomic advantage.
