Overview
The Microtech Amphibian RAM-LOK brings back the classic Amphibian blade profile – once hailed as the best EDC knife Microtech ever produced – with the modern RAM-LOK bar lock mechanism. This Tan variant features a black DLC-coated partially serrated single-edge blade in Bohler M390MK steel, set in a beautifully fluted aluminum handle. The RAM-LOK system provides a crossbar-style lock using a solid steel billet driven by a single coiled spring, delivering rock-solid lockup with ambidextrous finger-safe closing.
RAM-LOK Bar Lock System
The RAM-LOK uses a solid steel billet crossbar driven by a single coiled spring, providing one of the strongest and most reliable locking mechanisms available. The design allows finger-safe closing from either side of the handle for ambidextrous operation.
Classic Amphibian Blade Profile
The Amphibian’s distinctive blade geometry has been a Microtech icon, designed for versatile cutting performance that excels in both precision tasks and more demanding applications.
Fluted Aluminum Construction
The precision-fluted 6061-T6 aluminum handle reduces weight while creating a visually striking pattern and providing additional grip texture. The Tan anodization adds a warm, tactical aesthetic.
