KMR Precision Arms manufactures competition pistols and accessories in the Czech Republic, operating as the sales division of the KUMMER Group. The company was founded at the beginning of the millennium and emerged from extensive collaboration with professional shooters and sporting competitors. KMR specializes in high-performance firearms designed for IPSC, USPSA, and IDPA competitive shooting sports, where precision, reliability, and refined trigger systems are essential.
KMR Pistols
KMR pistols are hammer-fired designs with DA/SA (double-action/single-action) or SA (single-action only) trigger mechanisms, chambered in 9mm. These are all-steel competition pistols built on the CZ Shadow platform, with frames CNC-machined from solid steel blocks or duralumin (aluminum alloy). The steel construction provides a stable shooting platform that’s valued in competitive shooting but results in pistols that typically weigh well over a kilogram. Models are available with various barrel lengths and configurations optimized for different competitive divisions. The slides feature front and rear cocking serrations, and many models come optics-ready with mounting interfaces for popular red dot footprints like RMR and Shield patterns.
Pistol Grips and Ergonomics
KMR pistol grips are typically made from duralumin (aluminum alloy) with various texturing patterns including their DiamondCut and Waves finishes. The grips are designed for competitive shooting, providing secure purchase during rapid-fire strings while remaining comfortable for extended match use. Some models feature interchangeable grip panels that allow shooters to adjust the feel to their hand size and shooting style. The competition-oriented design includes features like extended thumb rests on certain models to help manage recoil during fast strings of fire.
Pistol Magazine and Feeding Systems
KMR magazines are constructed from duralumin (aluminum alloy) with aluminum base pads. Standard capacity varies by model, with many holding 16-19 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The magazines are designed specifically for competitive use, often featuring extended base pads and magazine wells (funnels) to facilitate rapid reloads during timed competition stages. The feeding systems are optimized for reliability with match-grade ammunition commonly used in sporting applications.
KMR Pistol Accessories
Beyond complete pistols, KMR manufactures an extensive line of competition accessories including custom grips, match triggers, adjustable sights, hammers, magazine base pads, and red dot mounting systems. Their proprietary Barrel Ring System (BRS) is a barrel stabilization feature that uses a brass bushing to ensure consistent barrel alignment during the firing cycle. The company also produces triggers with adjustable stops and reset, aluminum magazine releases, manual safeties, and other competition-grade components. Many of these accessories are compatible with CZ Shadow series pistols as well as KMR’s own firearms.
